Diwali Sweets and Savouries - Coconut Ladu
We Indians, make different sweets and savouries during festivals especially for the Diwali. Hope you would have watched our previous videos on Diwali Sweets and tried them. Today we are going to make Yummy Coconut Ladu. The recipe and preparation is tried and tested by our patrons Gayathri Nagesh and Sumathi Hariharan, which they have shared with you all.We are using the Desiccated Coconut for this preparation. Fresh coconut will be wet and take more time for preparation. It takes about 45 minutes or so, to prepare this yummy and sweety Coconut Ladu at home, though you can buy the same in many of the bakeries.
Equipment
- 1 Frying Pan
- 1 Mixing Bowl
- 1 Spatula
Ingredients
- 1 Kg Desiccated Coconut
- 1 Ltr Condensed Milk
- 1 Cup Dry Fruits and Kismis
Instructions
- Keep the frying pan on medium flame and put about 800 grams of Desiccated Coconut on to it
- Stirr continuously and let the Coconut get hot
- Transfer the Desiccated Coconut to a bowl when the colour changes slightly yellow
- Pour the Condensed Milk on to the frying pan
- Stirr it till the consistency becomes thin
- Add Desiccated Coconut into the Condensed Milk
- Mix it well
- Add the Dry Fruits and mix well
- Make small balls of the mixture and put the balls into a plate containing Desiccated Coconut
- Roll the balls in the Desiccated Coconut and put it in a plate
- Yummy Coconut Ladu is ready. Enjoy with your friends and relatives
