It is a must visit place and an important landmark owing to its unique collectibles that narrate the history of aviation from man’s first attempt to fly.
Al Mahatta Airport was the first airport in the region built in 1932. It is turned into a museum highlighting the history of flight in the UAE and the region. It was used in 1930’s as a staging post for commercial flights from Britain to India.
The original, fully restored propeller planes are displayed alongside the refueling tanker in the Aircraft Hangar.
You can even see cross-sections of Aircrafts with their cockpit and seating area.
Come, let us see what is in store for us within the Al Mahatta Airport Museum. To make it short and enjoyable to all, I have made the whole video into two parts. This, the first part shows the Aircraft Hangar and Technicalities sections. The second part will be released next week with details of the Miracles of flight.
