Laurent Simons, 11 year boy is the second youngest Graduate in the world, having obtained his graduation in just one year. He got his bachelor’s degree in Physics with highest distinction in just one year, which normally takes three years.
Eleven year old Laurent Simons is from the Belgian Costal Town of Ostend. He has received his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Antwerp. He completed his high school studies in a span of 1.5 years. The high school diploma was awarded to him when he was just 8 years old.
Laurent Simons aims to make Humans Immortal by replacing body parts with mechanical parts. When humans get old, their organs get wear and tear and damages. If they could be replaced with mechanical parts, humans could be made immortal – he thinks. He said that Quantum Physics is his favourite and first piece of his puzzle.
To Laurent Simons age is not a problem and he didn’t care whether he is the youngest to get a bachelor’s degree. What he is all about is acquiring the knowledge. He want to pursue studies and further research in Quantum Mechanics, which is the first step towards his goal.
