It is possible to have some symptoms persist or have long-term effects after recovering from the Covid-19. Health experts say that the Virus can damage the Lungs, Heart and Brain. It can even cause a permanent damage to the Lungs in some cases.
I am one who was affected by the Covid-19 Virus in February this year. It took me almost three weeks to get a Negative RTPCR Test Result. Though I suffered a mild attack of the Virus, I lost the smell and taste, had breathing problems on walking for a short distance and fatigue. I had always maintained a Body Temperature of 36 to 36.5 degree Celsius but had severe Joint Pain on various joints. My Blood Oxygen Level also was above 95 during the period.
My Experience after Covid
I was tested Negative in RTPCR Test in early March (and maintaining) the status. Though I became normal in about three weeks’ time, it has left me with the Joint Pain on some of my joints which started during the Covid period. Even while writing this, I have pain on two of my fingers that it is difficult to bend them properly.
Unlike before Covid, on walking for about a kilometer or so, I feel tired but feels Ok after a short rest. My chest remains productive with Phlegm after the infection especially on taking some hot food and feel sore throat at times. The energy to do things has not come back to the full level, even six months after recovery.
