We – a family of 11 people went on a short staycation at Umm Al Quwain last week and we stayed there at the Vida Beach Resort. Umm Al Quwain is one of the Seven Emirates of the United Arab Emirates and is located at the north of the country.
Population wise it is the least populous emirate and the second smallest emirate. The revenue of the emirate is mainly from Hotels, Parks, Tourism and Fisheries. It has the Umm Al Quwain Free Zone based at the Port Ahmed Bin Rashid.
Checked-In at around 2 in the afternoon and we straight away went into an entertainment mode with games, swimming and other activities. The rooms were well equipped and extremely clean and we enjoyed it. There is a swimming pool, kids play area and beach access which we found to be extremely well maintained and enjoyable.
The resort has rooms as well as Chalet to choose from and we made on-line booking of 6 rooms for all of us well in advance which was very competitive. The restaurant offers an international cuisine with an excellent selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
Our stay was only for one night and we left the resort next day around 3pm. Overall it was a very good stay at Vida.
